Youth Savings Account
This account helps children understand the basics of saving while giving parents a way to stay involved.
- Open an account for children under age 14
- Earn dividends as savings grow
- Parent or guardian manages the account
Many youth accounts are set up as a UTMA (Uniform Transfers to Minors Act) account. This allows a parent or guardian to manage the funds on behalf of the child until they are old enough to take over. A UTMA account is often used to:
- Save for future milestones like a first car or college
- Allow family members to contribute to the child’s savings
- Build funds over time while keeping control with the parent or guardian
It is a great way to start saving early while keeping everything structured and secure.
How It Works
Saving becomes more meaningful when kids can see progress. Turn saving into something consistent and rewarding!
- Make regular deposits at school or in-branch
- Earn a stamp for each qualifying deposit
- After 15 deposits, receive a reward and start again
